M Tech in Transportation Engineering is a postgraduate Civil Engineering course of two years which is divided into four semesters of study plus two electives. The goal of this degree program is to provide both engineering and management aspects of transportation systems with an emphasis on on-road transportation.
This discipline includes subjects like pavement analysis and design, transportation planning, road transport management and economics, highway traffic analysis and design, numerical methods and applied statistics, etc.
Admission to M.Tech in Transportation Engineering degree program is through both entrance tests and merit-based. Certain universities offer both direct admission and entrance based admission to the program and few Universities require Candidates to have given any of the applicable Entrance Exams for M.Tech Transportation Engineering.
