Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Technology is a 3-year full-time doctoral program in computer science information technology. Qualifying Master’s degree in science or technology or an M.Phil. degree with an aggregate of 60% marks and above from a recognized university is prerequisite for this program. he PhD programme in information technology is standardized to 180 credits (3 years). The final plan for the PhD programme is designed in consultation with the candidate, the supervisor and department depending on the subject area for the thesis and the candidate’s needs and preferences.
Upon the completion of the PhD education, the candidate should be at the forefront of knowledge in one or several of the Department of Computer and Information Science’s academic areas. The candidate should be able to evaluate the application of different methods in these subject areas and will contribute to the development of new knowledge, new theories and new methods in the subject area.
