Master of Technology (M Tech) is the higher specialized course in the field of engineering. The duration of this course is 2 years. M.Tech provides you the insight and deep knowledge of the subjects that you have studied in your B.Tech course. Many well-known institutions run the M Tech programme in part-time or distance mode also. Admissions into M.Tech programme is purely done through the national level or state level entrance exam. Candidates have to appear in the entrance exam Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) that is the All India level examination to get admission in IITs.The course of Paper Technology located at the Saharanpur Campus of IITR offers academic programs at various levels in Pulp and Paper Technology, Polymer Science and Technology, Process Engineering and Management. The Department has well developed academic infrastructure. Its faculty is engaged in teaching, research and industrial consultancy.
The Department offers a Master of Technology (M Tech) course in Pulp and Paper. This is a multidisciplinary course offered to the students having graduate degree in Pulp and Paper, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and allied disciplines. All the students of this course have been able to secure placement in paper and allied industries through campus interviews.
