MTech Energy Engineering is a 2 year post graduate degree course in which a student gets the in-depth knowledge of various facets of energy. Energy Technology or Master of Technology in Energy Technology is a two-year postgraduate Energy Engineering course. Energy Technology is a wide field of engineering concerning energy efficiency, energy services, facility management, plant engineering, environmental compliance and alternative energy technologies. The course focuses on power plant and steam boiler engineering, pollution prevention, emission reduction, utilization of by-products as material or energy, waste treatment, recycling and disposal; the management of electromagnetism, power electronics, electro mechanical and electro thermal processes, industrial applications of real-time control systems, embedded software, digital signal processing, and on the application of these to the modelling and control of electric drives and power electronics; electricity distribution automation and power transmission, network business technology, regulation, and economy; nuclear power plant and systems and nuclear safety.

Aspiring students should have passed a BE /B Tech. or any other equivalent qualification in relevant subject with minimum 60% marks.
