M.Sc. Biostatistics or Master of Science in Biostatistics is a postgraduate Biostatistics course. Biostatistics is the application of statistics to a wide range of topics in biology. The science of biostatistics encompasses the design of biological experiments, especially in medicine and agriculture; the collection, summarization and analysis of data from those experiments; and the interpretation of, and inference from, the results. The duration of M.Sc. in Biostatistics is mostly of two academic years but it may vary from institute to institute and also may be on a part time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters.

The candidates should have completed B.Sc. degree under any registered University with subjects like Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Microbiology.
