Renal science concerns with the functioning of kidneys. It is also related to the term Nephrology. Nephrology is the study of the normal functioning of kidneys and their treatment in case of problems. It also concerns with dialysis procedure and kidney transplantation. Dialysis is part of the renal replacement therapy, where the normal blood filtering function of the kidneys is replaced by taking help of machines. Dialysis is required when the kidneys are not able to perform the function of filtration of blood properly. This is during renal failure. In extreme cases, kidneys are replaced through donors. This is thus a very challenging and rewarding job for those from the field of healthcare.
