The telecommunication sector involves the telephone industry, computer industry, microwave radio systems, satellite communications, earth stations using satellite dishes, cellular phone industry. The course deals with analogue and digital transmission & reception of data, voice and video, basic electronics, solid-state devices, microprocessors, digital and analogue communication, analogue integrated circuits, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression.
