VPMM college of Nursing was established in the year 2011 and has been approved by Government of Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to “ The Dr . MGR Medical University” , Chennai and has been recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and by Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives council , Chennai.The biggest challenge India faces today is the lack of human resources in health–physician, specialists, nurses and paramedics. In the rapidly changing health care scenario of the day, nurses are challenged to work in expanded, specialist and advanced practice roles. Nursing education is much more than making them up in preparation. It means continuous growth and holistic development with the use of communications and nursing informatics to carry along with the health team, patients and community. Education at VPMM is focused on all round development of students besides academic excellence required to excel in the modern dynamic world.
