Diploma in Tool and die engineering is the branch of engineering that applies the principles of physics and material science for analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical system. It involves the production and usage of making design for the tool, production and operation of machines. Both traditional machining skills and advanced computer aided manufacturing (CAM) techniques are used to create manufacturing or production equipments, jigs, fixtures, moulds and dies for industries. This three year diploma course addresses the rapid changes in technology that have caused a revolution in tool and die making methods, bringing innovations in production processes.
